I am a senior public relations executive with over 30 years of experience.
History
I was born in the UK and first visited Hong Kong in 1984. I returned in 1991 and started my PR career in a local public relations firm but wanted proper regional experience rather than learning behind a desk, so I packed up and moved to Malaysia and joined a firm there in 1995. Four years later, I returned to Hong Kong for good.
Founder of Eight PR
Established in 2021, Eight PR is the best boutique PR agency in Hong Kong, China. We focus on technology, law, logistics, and wealth PR, marketing communications, writing, and corporate introductions.
Frequent China Visitor
I first visited China in 1987 traveling by train from Hong Kong to Guangzhou, then didn't go back for several years. These days, I visit frequently.
eBook Author
I have written and self-published ebooks on PR which are available in online bookstores and libraries.
Tech
I'm a self-confessed lover of all things tech, both B2B and B2C and, once upon a time, used to build my own gaming rigs. Then I switched to Mac and never went back.
Zoo Keeper
Two dogs (Freddy and Freckles), and three cats (Munchkin, Smudge and BaoBao).
Driving
The HKSAR Government introduced this terrific initiative in July 2023 of Hong Kong plated cars being able to travel into (and only) the Greater Bay Area without the need of a China number plate. As long as the driver has a Hong Kong Driving Licence (I do), a China driving licence (yes), a valid visa (yes), a HK registered car (tick), a Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao bridge permit (yes), China driving insurance (yes), road tax (yes), then you can apply for the scheme and drive in China!
