History

I was born in the UK and first visited Hong Kong in 1984. I returned in 1991 and started my PR career at a local public relations firm, but I wanted proper regional experience rather than learning behind a desk, so I packed up and moved to Malaysia and joined a firm there in 1995. Four years later, I returned to Hong Kong for good.

Frequent China Visitor

I first visited China in 1987, traveling by train from Hong Kong to Guangzhou. These days, I visit every week and have travelled extensively by car, bus, coach, train, high-speed train, plane, and ferry.

I have written and self-published ebooks on PR, which are available in online bookstores and libraries.

I'm a self-confessed lover of all things tech and, once upon a time, used to build my own gaming rigs.

Driving

I passed my Chinese driving test in March 2024 and drive frequently in Guangdong province and accessing via the Hong Kong and Macau Bridge.

The Good Book

I've written a work of fiction, self-published it, and it's selling on Amazon. Selling is a bit strong; sold on Amazon is perhaps better. I also used to write about PRTech and travel and have been blogging since 2005.
